I’m Dane

Born in the picturesque landscapes of Nova Scotia, I spent my very early years surrounded by the serene beauty of the Atlantic coast. I then moved with my family and was raised in the vast expanse of the prairies, experiencing the stark contrast of wide open spaces and endless skies. Later on I moved to Vancouver Island where I fell in love with the mountains and Ocean. After living there for a few years I moved to Yellowknife. Throughout my life, I've embraced the diverse geography of Canada, having lived in almost every province, each offering a unique tapestry of experiences.

My Relationship with Life

My adventurous spirit finds expression in various outdoor pursuits – from rock climbing, skiing up and down mountain slopes, harnessing the wind with kiteboarding, or exploring the countryside on my bike. I also find myself frequently out casting a line in the summer or winter. This eclectic blend of environments and activities has woven a rich tapestry of memories that define my journey as a person and photographer.

As a seasoned photographer with many years of experience, my journey has been shaped by countless documented adventures with friends and family. Through the lens, I have not only captured cherished moments but also cultivated a deep understanding of the art of storytelling through photography. Beyond the creative aspect, my entrepreneurial spirit led me to take charge of the marketing for my own business. Handling all aspects of promotion and branding, I not only refined my photographic skills but also developed a strategic approach to showcasing my work in a business setting. The amalgamation of these experiences has not only enriched my portfolio but has also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the multifaceted nature of photography as both an art form and a business.
